Classification of electrical cabinets
Electrical cabinets are usually classified by:
- Classified by type of electrical cabinet: Box and closed cabinet enclosures (Framed cabinets)
- Classification by partition: Depending on the partition between the main parts in the cabinet: Switchgear (I), output wire (O) and busbar (B) which divide the cabinet into 4 different styles:
Type 1: No partition between 3 parts O, B, I
Type 2: There is partition between 3 parts O, B, I
Type 3: Same as Type 2 and with additional partitions between the closing devices I1, I2, I3…
Type 4: Same as model 3 and with additional baffles at the O1, O2, O3 output terminals
- Classified by protection level
- Classify by tool
